Since Apple entered iOS 10.3, users are waiting for the final version to hope for Yalu jailbreak as we know that Yalu102 was not able to deliver their tool for iPhone 7.
As iOS 10.3 is still in the beta stage where developers and public beta testers are discovering and submitting bugs from it. Meanwhile, PanGu and Yalu developers are working on discovering bugs to create jailbreak for iOS 10.3.
And if you truly want jailbreak, we’d suggest to downgrade iOS 10.3 to earlier compatible iOS firmware for Yalu to break limitation and if you’re not able to do so, you can hope that Luca or PanGu would work for you to provide you another chance of jailbreaking your iPhone 7 and to install Cydia iOS 10.3.
Yalu103 or Jailbreak 10.3
Luca has a great history of jailbreaking tools. He successfully updated his tool for constant two new iOS update and had demonstrated Yalu tool on numerous previous iOS updates in the past.
For iPhone 7 users, there is only a chance at the moment to jailbreak using Yalu101 because Yalu102 isn’t available for iPhone 7 for now. Yeah in the future, one can expect Yalu103 for sure, but it depends on Luca that he puts his efforts on iOS 10.3 or not!
How to jailbreak iOS 10.3?
First of all, you should have to understand the current status of Yalu tethered jailbreak tool. Its available as Yalu102 and Yalu101. While all the exploits used in previous jailbreak have been successfully patched and destroyed by Apple in iOS 10.3. Thus in this situations, we can’t expect early release for Yalu103 means iOS 10.3 jailbreak.
Then can you expect Jailbreak iOS 10.3? Look, most of the time after some constant release of such tools, the developers stop working on future firmware to safe the chance for future jailbreak release. After releasing Yalu102, Luca responded via Twitter saying that he would stop developing future Yalu103. He said, he won’t work on public jailbreak for iOS 10.3.
As, its not possible to work on each and every firmware to make it compatible for Cydia, we can understand the situation for current iOS 10.3 jailbreak. However, in many cases where one team stop working on jb, other team surprisingly release their untethered jailbreak for next iOS update and this happened many times in the past with TaiG and PanGu even with Evaders.
We’ve many active jailbreak teams available and they are still active because during iOS 8, TaiG had released their tool while during iOS 9, PanGu actively released many untethered jailbreak. It seems like iOS 10 is the series of Yalu.
You shouldn’t lose your hope for iOS 10.3 jailbreak as well as any future firmware release because it never ends to develop something new. And for the status, we’d keep trying to get something new and exciting in related to jailbreak iOS 10.3.
Updated on 1 Feb 2017: According to CydiaHacks, Luca is still working on iOS 10.3 exploits and if he founds any working exploits to build jailbreak iOS 10.3, he would release Yalu103.
Downgrading iOS 10.3
Yeah, there is a chance if you could manage yourself to downgrade iOS 10.3. I’ve always said that use Prometheus downgrade tool to save SHSH for future use. If you’ve done this and save previous version of SHSH blobs, you can downgrade iOS 10.3 to the older versions.
However, there isn’t any guarantee that Prometheus would work if Apple stopped signing previous version and patched key vulnerabilities that Prometheus uses.
